When I left the Army, it felt like someone yanked the ground out from under me. One day I knew exactly who I was—a Soldier—and the next I was staring at myself wondering, now what?

Getting medically retired punched harder than any deployment. But I wasn’t going to stay in if it meant sending my troops into harm’s way without me. Still… you don’t just walk away from that life without losing a piece of yourself.

For over a year, I drifted. Didn’t feel right. Didn’t feel me.

Then I found my way back to what I’ve always loved—teaching Soldiers. Turns out you can still make an impact even if you’re a little fatter and finally rocking the beard the Army always warned you about.

But even with the job, something was missing. My life felt… half full.

Then I joined the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association®️. And just like that, the camaraderie was back. The laughter. The trust. The shit talking. The sense of belonging I didn’t even realize I was starving for. I found my home again. I found my Brothers and Sisters.

If you’re a veteran out there feeling unmoored, or just curious about what we do, reach out. I’ll answer anything I can. And if you’ve already found your home—Veterans MC, American Legion Riders, VFW Warriors—hell yeah. I’m genuinely happy you found your people.

Find your tribe. It makes all the difference.
